Community Referees Needed!

Community Leagues are in dire need of referees.  This is not just local, but a statewide problem and we need your help.

Lakeshore United will be hosting a one time three-hour referee training course prior to the Spring season. Upon completion of this free course, attendees are certified to officiate Community Soccer league games in Cedar Grove – Belgium, Elkhart Lake, Howards Grove, Kohler, Manitowoc, Oostburg, Sheboygan, and Sheboygan Falls.

This course is recommended for all new and returning referees. We introduced a lot of play format and rule changes this past season especially for grades 1-4. Part of being a good official is to engage in constant reviewing of the rules and reflecting on how to improve.

  • Individuals must be at least 13.  Adults are also needed.
  • Community Soccer League games are Saturday mornings

Becoming one of our Community Soccer referees is a great opportunity for youth and adults alike. In addition to getting a unique perspective on the game, referees gain valuable leadership experience and get paid for doing so! With flexible scheduling, referees can officiate as little or as many games as their personal schedules allow.  If you are interested, please contact Mike Thill below.
